spot to insert your FIRST Figure Template:

    Can you solve it?

    Copy an image from Libretext

    • Click on the "Copy and paste image here" spot on your Figure Template above, then
    • select ELEMENTS, then choose IMAGE.
    • Chose the BROWSE tab.
    • Use + on "Page Editing" to see the pages.
    • Use + on "Some Images" to see the images

Copy an image from your computer

    • Have the image saved on your computer; a png file is fine (other formats may work as well). Use a clear, descriptive name for your file.
    • Add a Figure Template as described above just below the words spot to insert your SECOND Figure Template.
    • Click on the "Copy and paste image here" spot on your Figure Template below, select ELEMENTS, choose IMAGE.
    • Chose the ATTACH FILES tab.
    • Use CHOOSE FILE  to browse to get your image.
    • Select OPTIONS to enter the Alt tag
    • SAVE IMAGE; you can resize the image in Libretext.
    • You can add a caption in the Figure Template.

    Important Notes

It is possible to just copy and paste an image with or without the figure template.  However, there are benefits to using the figure template and the image command that include ADA considerations, CSS, and printing considerations.

In ALL cases, be sure to add a meaningful alt tag to your new image or figure.  This can be done in the image properties dialog when adding a new image under OPTIONS or in the HTML mode.  You can also always modify the alt tag of an image by right-clicking on the image (in EDIT mode) and going to image properties.  Alt tags on images are an important part of making your text accessible.
