Do all these steps in EDIT mode.
Add a Definition
- Choose EDIT from the top black taskbar.
- Click at the end of this list below the spot to insert your Definition.
- Select ELEMENTS.
- Choose TEMPLATES, then
- drop down to Template: BoxDefinition
- INSERT TEMPLATE.
- Modify the heading to be DEFINITION: add whatever title you want.
- Modify the body to whatever text you want; note you can turn bold on/off with the B in the blue taskbar (below ELEMENTS).
- SAVE !!
spot to insert your Definition:

The ideal gas law is easy to remember and apply in solving problems, as long as you get the proper values a
Add a Note
- Follow the steps above, choosing Template: BoxNote & INSERT TEMPLATE.
- Again, modify the heading and the body.
- Make the heading a subsection under "Add a Note" by selecting the heading, choose Heading & pick H2.
- SAVE !!

Exercise \(\PageIndex{3}\)
28+ 43 =61 true or failse?
- Answer
-
failse
Add texts here. Do not delete this text first.
- Follow the steps above, choosing Template: BoxExercise & INSERT TEMPLATE.
- Notice the \(\PageIndex{1}\); alter the 1 to a 3, to make this Exercise #3.
- Replace the Add texts here. Do not delete this text first. with "FALSE" as the answer to the question.
- SAVE and see how the Answer is the word link to the hidden text.
- You can change the word Answer to Solution or any other word.
- Add the word Exercises as a heading above your exercise (use Heading, H1 to make this a 1st level in your TOC).
- In a real page, you would keep the exercises at the bottom of the page.
spot to insert your Exercise:
Example \(\PageIndex{1}\)
28 + 43 = 71
Solution
Add text here.
- Follow the steps above, choosing Template: BoxExample & INSERT TEMPLATE.
- Again alter the 1 in \(\PageIndex{1}\); to a 6, to make this Example #6.
- Replace the Add text here. above Solution with Find the area of an equilateral triangle with side \(x.\)
- Replace the Add text here. below Solution with "full solution worked out to be added later" as the solution to the example.
- SAVE and notice the Solution is NOT hidden. You can make it hidden if you want - see page on Add Hidden Text.
spot to insert your Example:
Add a Theorem
- Follow the steps above, choosing Template: BoxTheorem & INSERT TEMPLATE.
- Again alter the 1 in \(\PageIndex{1}\); to a 2, to make this Theorem #2.
- next to (\PageIndex{2}\), write (or copy this text) Triangle Inequality Theorem
- Replace the The probabilities ..." by a copy of this: For all real numbers, \(x, y, z: \qquad |x + y| \leq |x| + |y|.\)
- Replace the Add proof here ..." by a copy of this: This is a long proof that includes a couple of lemmas, so we leave it all to the reader.
- SAVE and see how the Proof is the word link to the hidden text.
spot to insert your Theorem:
Theorem \(\PageIndex{2}\)
- For all real numbers, \(x, y, z: \qquad |x + y| \leq |x| + |y|.\)
- Proof

This is a long proof that includes a couple of lemmas, so we leave it all to the reader.
Remember, for important definitions, notes, examples or theorems, you may want to select the first line and choose “Heading” to make it a section on the Table of Contents
