      ANOVA, or Analysis of Variance, is used to compare the means of three or more groups to determine if at least one group differs significantly. It helps identify variation between and within groups. ANOVA is widely used in experiments, surveys, and studies involving multiple categories or treatments.

These include the within-group variance, which measures the variability of individual data points around their respective group means and reflects random error. The between-group variance measures the variability of group means around the grand mean and captures the effect of the grouping variable.
